Things I Used to Do
These are things I used to do for a
living:

I tried being an elevator operator, but the job had its ups and downs.

I was an author for a while, and it was all write.

I was a sanitation worker. Business was always picking up. Our mottos:
Always at your disposal! Service with a smell!

I tried selling brushes, because I wanted to have a Fuller life.
- Later, I got a job as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they
gave me the axe.
- Then I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it.
- My job in a muffler factory was simply exhausting.

As an astronomer, I found that things were always looking up.
-
I tried being a deep-sea fisherman for a while, but that life is a drag.
- I got a good job in a jumper cable factory, but it didn't last.
I just couldn't get started.
- Then I got a job in a factory making camoflage clothing, but every time I put one
down, I couldn't find it again.

I made eyeglasses on the Alaskan islands, but people said I was just an optical Aleutian.
I quit when I fell into my lense-grinding machine and made a spectacle of myself.
- When I worked in a nuclear power plant, I got atomic ache.
- I worked in an orange juice factory for a while, but I got canned. I just
couldn't concentrate.
- So, finally, I decided that I needed to forget about the whole thing, so I
drank some Milk of Amnesia.
But really, folks...
