Professional Information about Dr. Lyn Miller

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, my undergraduate alma mater. Previously, I was a tenured associate professor of mathematics at Western Kentucky University, whose faculty I joined in 1994. My Ph.D. is in computational commutative algebra (specifically, dealing with Groebner bases and their analogs); I received it in 1994 from the University of Maryland, under the direction of Dr. William W. Adams. A 1995-96 Project NExT Fellow, I am also a member of the Mathematical Association of America, the American Mathematical Society, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and the Association for Women in Mathematics.
