APRICOT BARS

 

1 1/2 cups flour

1 tea. baking powder

1 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats

3/4 cup butter or margarine

1 cup apricot jam or filling

 

     Mix flour and baking powder together.  Mix sugar and oats and add to flour mixture.  Cut in margarine until crumbly.  Pat 2/3 of mixture in greased 9x13" pan.  Spread filling on and cover with crumb mixture.  Pat down gently.  Bake at 350' for 35 min.  Cool.  Cut into bars.

 

 

DATE BARS

 

4 eggs

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup dates

1 cup nuts

2 tea. baking powder

2 cups flour

1 tea. vanilla

 

     Bake 350'  Use toothpick to determine time.
