CLOTHESPIN COOKIE FILLING

 

1½ cups milk

6 tab. flour

2 tab. sugar

 

     Mix ingredients well; run through strainer if lumpy.  Cook until thick.  Beat with electric mixer if necessary to remove lumps.  Cover.  Cool. 

 

2 sticks margarine

½ cup white Crisco

9 tab. marshmallow cream

3 cups powdered sugar

2 tab. vanilla

 

     With beater, cream together all ingredients.  Gradually add to cooled milk mixture.  Small amount of cake decorating colors and other flavoring can be used.  *Do not use frozen margarine; filling will separate. Also, try increasing Crisco and decreasing margarine if concerned with fat content.
