NEIGHBORHOOD BROWNIES

2 sticks margarine

l cup water

4 tab. Hershey's Baking Cocoa or 1 square chocolate

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

2 eggs

1 tea. soda

1/2 cup sour cream or 1/3 cup soured milk (Include 2 tea. vinegar to equal 1/3 cup of sour

milk.)

1 tea. vanilla

Heat margarine, water and chocolate until almost boiling; cool slightly. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in 15x10" jelly roll pan at 350' for 35 to 40 min.

FROSTING

1 stick margarine

4 tab. Hershey's Baking Cocoa or 1 square of chocolate

5 tab. milk

1 lb. confectioners' sugar

1 cup chopped nuts (opt.)

1 tea. vanilla

Heat margarine, chocolate and milk until boiling. Remove from heat and cool slightly. Add remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth. Frost brownies while warm but not hot. This can be cut into 8 doz. pieces.
