SEVEN LAYER COOKIES

 

1 stick margarine

1½ cups graham cracker crumbs

1 cup butterscotch chips

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

1 cup chopped nuts

 

     Melt butter in 9X13 pan.  Add graham cracker crumbs; mix.  Evenly, add remaining ingredients.  Bake 350' for 30 min. or until lightly brown.  Cut into small squares while hot.  Lay on paper towels to absorb some of the margarine.

 

BANANA-CHIP BARS  Jean

3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened

2/3 cup granulated sugar

2/3 cup packed brown sugar

1 egg

1 tea. vanilla

2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed (1 cup)

2 cups flour

2 tea. baking powder

1-6 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces (1 cup)

1/2 cup nuts, chopped

 

     Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla; beat well.  Stir in bananas.  Stir together flour, and baking powder.  Add to creamed mixture; beat well.  Stir in chocolate pieces.  Spread in greased and floured 9"Xl3" pan.  Bake 350' for 25 min.  Cool.  Cut into bars.
