APPLE CRISP
1 medium apple, thickly sliced
2 tab. quick cooking oats
2 tab. chopped walnuts
1 tab. brown sugar

tea. margarine or butter

Place apple in small bowl. Combine remaining ingredients; sprinkle on
apple. Cook on HIGH 4 to 5 min. until
tender. Let stand 1 min. Makes one serving. For 2 servings; use 2 bowls and cook 8 to 9 min.
PINEAPPLE RICE DESSERT
1 cup rice, uncooked

cups water

20 oz. can crushed pineapple and juice, unsweetened

15¼ oz. can pineapple tidbits and juice, unsweetened
oz.Cool Whip

oz. container sour cream

10½ oz. pkg. miniature white marshmallows

can Mandarin oranges, drained
Two days before serving, cook rice in
boiling water without salt or margarine for 20 min. Heat pineapple and juice to lukewarm and add to rice in large
covered bowl. Cool for an hour before
placing in refrigerator for 8 hours or over night.
Add whipped topping, sour cream and marshmallows. Stir just before serving. Then, gently, stir in Mandarin oranges,
saving a few to decorate the top. Makes
12 cups.
