CHOCOLATE MINT DESSERT

 

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

4 eggs

1 1/2 cups (16 oz. can) Hershey's Syrup

     Grease 13X9X2" pan.  In large bowl beat flour, sugar, butter, eggs and syrup until smooth.  Pour into pan; bake 350' for 25 to 30 min. or until top springs back when lightly touched.  (Top may still appear wet.)  Cool completely in pan.

 

MINT CREAM LAYER

2 cups confectioners’ sugar

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

1 tab. water

1/2 tea. mint extract

3 drops green food color, opt.

     In small mixing bowl beat until smooth.  Spread on cake.

 

CHOCOLATE TOPPING

6 tab. butter or margarine

1 cup mint chocolate chips or regular chocolate chips

     Microwave ingredients in small bowl for 1 to 1 1/2 min. or just until chips are melted and smooth when stirred.  Pour over dessert.
