APPLE CRUMB PIE

 

1 9" unbaked pie shell

8 tart apples

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

3 tab. tapioca

     Pare, core and slice apples.  Mix with sugars and tapioca.  Arrange in pie shell.

 

TOPPING

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup flour

1/3 cup butter

1 tea. cinnamon

     Mix flour, sugar and cinnamon.  Cut in butter until crumbly.  Sprinkle over apples.  Bake 450 for 15 min.; then 350 for 45 min.  Cool.  Spoon whipped cream on each individual piece.
