STRAWBERRY GLAZED PIE

 

Bake pie shell.  Cool.  Fill with fresh, but not over-ripe strawberries.  Make glaze and cool slightly.

 

GLAZE

3/4 cup water

2 tab. cornstarch

1/3 cup sugar

dash cinnamon

5 1/2 tab. strawberry gelatin

3/4 cup cold water

 

     Cook first 4 ingredients.  Add the gelatin.  Stir thoroughly.  Add remaining water.

 

 

STRAWBERRY-SOUR CREAM PIE

 

1 chocolate graham cracker crust

2 cups strawberries, crushed

3 tab. sugar

1/2 cup sour cream

1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip

 

     Combine strawberries and sugar.  Stir in sour cream, then fold in whipped topping.  Spoon into crust and chill about 4 hours or freeze until firm.  Garnish with additional strawberries if desired.
