PRETZEL SALAD

 

2 cups curly pretzels, crushed but not fine

3/4 cup melted margarine

3 tab. sugar

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

8 oz. carton Cool Whip

1 cup sugar

2 - 3 oz. sized pkg. strawberry gelatin

2 cups boiling water

2 - 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries, sliced

 

     Mix pretzels, margarine and 3 tab. sugar in 9x13"pyrex dish.

Bake 400' for 8 min.  Do not over bake.  Cool. Thoroughly  mix cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar with mixer.  Fold in Cool  Whip and spread on pretzels.  Mix gelatin and boiling water, stirring until dissolved.  Immediately add frozen strawberries and pour over Cool Whip mixture.
