SUMMER SUET

 

1 cup lard

1 cup crunchy peanut butter

1/3 cup sugar

1 cup whole wheat flour

2 cups oatmeal

2 cups cornmeal

few raisins, dried cranberries, nuts or bird seed

 

     Melt lard and peanut butter on low heat.  Add other ingredients; mix.  Pour in square pan.  Chill in refrigerator overnight.  Cut into squares to fit in suet basket.  Suggestions of ingredients to add: peanuts, ground roasted almonds, grains, red chili peppers, or dehydrated insects.
