Math 310 - Mathematics for Elementary Teachers II
Additional Course Documents Page
- Daily Tasks and Assignments - full list
- The list includes reading, HW, and announcements.
- This list is linked to day-by-day from the Daily Calendar on the Course Main Page.
- Course Syllabus
- You are responsible for reading the syllabus in all your classes.
- The printed version I hand out in class is typically a shortened version, for quick reference only.
- The link above goes to the full, official syllabus. Be sure to read the official version.
- It is also linked directly
from the Course Main Page, and posted on D2L as well.
- CURRENT SEMESTER Exam Topics Lists (Objectives):
- Tentative exam dates are shown on the calendar on the Course Main Page.
- If date adjustments are needed, I announce them as soon in advance as possible.
- The Topics List links below go live one week in advance of the exam date.
- Topics Lists tell you what content is covered.
- You can then use notes, WAs and other graded assignments, practice problem lists, and other course materials to study however works best for you.
- Some students make a summary study guide, some design a practice test for themselves, some create flash card decks, etc.
- You MUST take the Final Exam at the scheduled
time. See the calendar on the Course Main Page.
- Do NOT plan travel that conflicts with ANY of your final
exams!
- CURRENT SEMESTER Assignment and Exam Solutions:
- Answers to auto-graded tasks on D2L are displayed in D2L's feedback to you.
- For hand-written assignments and exams in the course, I write at least a partial answer key each time.
- Scans will be posted on D2L, where you can download or print them for your own study use, but do NOT share them outside of our course.
- Paper copies of solutions are on the bulletin board near my office door, but DO NOT remove them from the office suite, and do not share photos outside of our course.
- To protect the authors' rights, I also sometimes omit solutions to textbook problems.
- You should study your graded materials - including feedback and answer keys - to understand mistakes and avoid making them again.
- Past Semester Exams and Solutions:
- Caution! Material IS NOT ordered, organized, separated,
or covered the same as this semester.
- There is a new SRU-approved Outline for the course, effective Spring 2022.
- Some topics we've covered may be missing from these old exams.
- Some topics on the exams may have been skipped this semester.
- Spring 2009 exams were only 50 minutes long, rather than our 75 minutes.
- These just give you extra practice and an idea of length;
they're NOT templates for this semester's exams.
- That's because typically I DO NOT REUSE nor refer to old exams
when writing for the current semester.
- The Spring 2009 exams were 50-minute exams while the 2008
exams were for 75-minute periods. Both finals are 2-hour exams.
